ArcelorMittal launches automotive app in Europe

Luxembourg, 9 July 2015 – ArcelorMittal, the world’s leading steel and mining company, has launched a new and interactive app which makes the company’s European automotive database of steel and coatings easily accessible to anyone with an Apple or Android smartphone or tablet.

“This app is a new way to browse the content of our existing automotive product catalogue,” explains Francis Bugnard, Technical Director Automotive Europe. “It is fast, user friendly and, of course, mobile.”

Designed for carmakers, tier-one suppliers, engineers, automotive designers, researchers and students, the app enables users to:

  • Find steel products by specific automotive part and application
  • Check which steel grades are the best-in-class for any automotive application
  • Identify metallic and organic coatings for automotive applications
  • Obtain detailed data on ArcelorMittal’s products such as their mechanical properties and chemical composition, as well as information on welding, fatigue and impact strength
  • Search our automotive product database
  • Keep up-to-date with breaking automotive news from ArcelorMittal.

The Automotive app is available in English, French, German and Spanish.
