Arctic Gold AB (ARCT): The Municipal Government in Kautokeino will process the company's revised Planprogram at their next meeting

Arctic Gold's request that the Kutokeino Municipal Government processes the company's application with a modified Planprogram has now resulted in the Chairman of the Municipal Government, after reviewing the previous handling of the case with the Department of Municipalities in Norway, deciding to take up the company's case at the next Municipal Government meeting on October 3, 2012.

Both the Chairman of the Municipal Government and the leader of Høyre have said in newspapers and on the radio that the issue of the modified Planprogram is to be processed and furthermore that all applications will receive their due attention.

A representative of Sametinget as well is of the opinion that the Municipality should let Arctic Gold complete an impact study, as otherwise it's simply a request to move away from the Municipality, without even looking into the possible job opportunities created.

It appears that Arctic Gold's work with the factual issues at hand and how our case is to be handled has brought about a positive result, says Arctic Gold's CEO Lars-Åke Claesson.
