Aspiro launches mobile loyalty concept GreenPass for Tuborg

Aspiro Mobile Solutions is currently launching a new mobile loyalty concept for the well known beer brand Tuborg in Latvia. By sending in a code from the back of the bottle label, Tuborg’s customers can gather points, which can later be exchanged for concert tickets. Aspiro handles coupons, SMS, MMS, barcodes and mobile site for Tuborg and its customer’s GreenPass-account.

Aspiro and Tuborg have generated 650 000 unique codes, which are placed on the labels of Tuborg’s beer bottles in Latvia. The customers may send in the code through an SMS. At first-time-registration, the customer receives a personalized GreenPass account, on which he assembles the gathered points. Each code gives one point, and when the customer has gathered an amount of points, a concert ticket to a local venue may be extracted as a prize.

For Tuborg it is very important to make sure that we fully understand the lifestyle of our target group. The mobile loyalty concept GreenPass is a unique and attractive way to involve more loyal consumers, and this campaign is very convenient for the Tuborg target group. Furthermore, such concept in FMCG is launched for the first time in Latvia. With GreenPass” we hope to fulfil the dreams of the Tuborg target group - to attend concerts of their favourite singers and start the party. As we were seeking for a cooperation partner who could provide high quality services, we chose Aspiro who really met our expectations”, says Tuborg brand manager in Latvia, Dace Dinsdorfa.

The agreement, running until 2013, is valid for Latvia but may also be expanded into additional countries.

This is the first large coupon concept that we launch, and this is a product area we believe has great potential going forward”, says Peter Tonstad, Head of Aspiro Mobile Solutions. “The mobile phone has the unique combination of being our most personal communication tool, as well as being a terminal for payment. If there is one thing people never leave home without, it’s their mobile phone. This combination offers great potential for businesses to open a dialogue and create customer loyalty, such as with Tuborg in this case,” he states.

Aspiro Mobile Solutions handles SMS-gateway and billing, generation and validation of coupons, generation and validation of barcodes (2D codes), which will be used in outdoor advertising campaigns, personal account pages on the internet and mobile sites. When a customer submits a code by SMS, a response is immediately returned, informing the user of the total amount of points he or she has available on their GreenPass account. The customer can check their balance, add new codes or extract points. They can also upload photos to their personal account through sending in an MMS from their mobile phone. The concept also includes SMS voting possibilities with real-time result display on www.greenpass.lv. Customers who start a GreenPass can also download a free ringtone, Song 2 by Blur, which is the theme song of the ongoing campaign and Tuborg brand on all advertising channels like TV, radio, web, etc.

Tuborg, a brand in the Carlsberg group, is also cooperating with international advertising agency TBWA to handle prizes to the customers in the form of concert tickets, and also advertising and development of the GreenPass concept in Latvia.
