Assemblin in Norway acquires electrical company and establishes an independent electrical organisation
Assemblin Norway has acquired Fjorden Elektro AS (“Fjorden Elektro”) in Sandefjord with estimated annual sales of NOK 50 million and 26 employees. At the same time, a reorganisation process is being conducted, meaning that all electrical operations will become a separate area of technology in Norway, operated through independent legal units.
Fjorden Elektro was established in 2018 and offers advanced electrical services to private customers, as well as customers in industry and the construction sector, primarily in Vestfold. The operations will continue to be run under the same names and at the same addresses as today. The founders and principal owners Svein Tore Hedberg and Geir Mathisen will remain in the operations with the same roles as previously.
Fjorden Elektro will be the first electrical operations to form, through a new company (Assemblin Elektro AS), the core of a streamlined electrical area within Assemblin Norway.
“Although our Norwegian installation operations have focused on heating and sanitation for several years now, we have in recent years grown to become a solid player also in electrical and ventilation. The ventilation operations were established as an independent company in 2018. We have now also established an independent company structure for the electrical operations, in which Fjorden Elektro is a part, and to which we will also gradually transfer our other electrical operations. In this way, we will achieve a clear multi-technical organisation, strengthening our technological leadership and our offering,” says Torkil Skancke-Hansen, President and Business Area Manager for Assemblin Norway.
The President of Fjord Elektro, Svein Tore Hedberg, is looking forward to becoming part of a larger organisation and being able to benefit from the advantages this entails in, for example, purchasing, capacity and working environment.
“This was not entirely obvious when we initiated our dialogue as recently as in January this year. We quickly identified shared points of interest and already shared the same values, however, and a mutual understanding gradually emerged that both parties contribute considerable positive energy and drive. The process has been fast, smooth and a surprisingly positive experience. For us, it therefore feels secure and appropriate to take this step now,” says Svein Tore Hedberg.
