Assemblin strengthens its expertise in energy efficiency with acquisition of Enex
Assemblin Heating & Sanitation continues to strengthen its offering in green property technology by acquiring Enexergi AB (“Enex”), which specialises in energy optimisation projects for multi-residential properties, mainly in the form of geothermal heating solutions. Enex is based in Vaxholm but operates throughout the Greater Stockholm area. Enex generates annual sales of about SEK 70 million.
Enex designs and installs energy systems and equipment, focusing on sustainability, reliability and efficiency. Since the company’s launch in 2010, more than 100 energy projects have been completed from which the property owners have derived major energy savings while the buildings have become more sustainable from an environmental perspective. Services provided are predominantly installation of geothermal and solar energy systems, as well as energy recovery (heat recovery ventilation, optimising efficiency in heat recovery ventilation, water overflow recycling, etc.). Enex performs its project assignments assisted by an established network of subcontractors. Customers primarily comprise tenant-owner housing associations, but also property companies.
“Enex’s profitable operations offer superior expertise in energy efficiency – an attractive niche with favourable opportunities for growth. We are highly impressed both with Enex’s expertise, as well as its professional processes and sales approach. Enex is a good fit with our stated commitment to energy-efficient and sustainable installation solutions, and we are pleased to welcome its employees and customers to the Assemblin family,” says Andreas Aridiadis, President and Business Area Manager at Assemblin Heating & Sanitation
Enex also complements the operations of energy and water optimisation company NGL Energientreprenad that Assemblin acquired in June 2022. These companies already collaborate closely, with NGL Energientreprenad focusing on distribution systems within buildings and Enex focusing primarily on production systems.
“Having worked a long time with various types of energy saving and optimisation projects, I can say that interest in our solutions has never been greater than it is now. We have now reached the limit of what we can achieve with the company’s current structure and I perceive value in continuing to develop within a larger organisation with more developed operational support,” says Erik Nigell, CEO and Proprietor of Enex.
