Assemblin strengthens its technical competencies within cooling with the acquisition of STK in Finland
Assemblin has acquired Suomen Teollisuuskylmä Oy (STK), a Finnish refrigeration company with strong environmental focus. STK has an annual turnover of approximately 8.7 MEUR and 25 specialised staff.
STK was founded in 2011 and has important maintenance contracts, primarily within ammonia-based cooling systems, with leading players in the food, forestry, chemical and energy sectors as well as logistic centres and ice rinks across Finland. In addition to maintenance work, the company installs and renovates cooling systems and has a significant competence within district heating facilities. STK has a strong environmental focus mainly using natural refrigerants or refrigerants with a low GWP value. Examples of customers include Fazer, Saarioinen, Valio and Turku Energy. The operations are based in Tampere, Turku and Helsinki.
