Atea acquires DatabaseForum AS

Atea AS (“Atea Norway”) has entered into an agreement to acquire DatabaseForum AS (“DatabaseForum”), a provider of business intelligence and data analytics in Norway. DatabaseForum is located in Stavanger, with a team of 16 highly skilled employees.

“As organizations transform their operations through the use of data, Atea is expanding its competence within data analytics,” commented Michael Jacobs, Managing Director of Atea Norway. “With the acquisition of DatabaseForum, Atea has a team of over 100 consultants who can support our customers with the use of data analytics solutions to gain insights and enhance their performance.”

Atea has seen growing demand for data analytics consultants on the west coast of Norway, based on the development of the aquaculture and petroleum/offshore industries and based on major digitalization projects to the public sector. The acquisition of DatabaseForum strengthens Atea’s position in the west coast of Norway and complements its consulting team in the rest of the country.

DatabaseForum generated revenue of NOK 15.2 million and EBIT of NOK 5.9 million in 2018. Atea will acquire all shares in the company for an enterprise value of NOK 20.5 million.
