For the second year in a row, Atea has been named one of the world's top 100 most sustainable companies by the well-respected research and media company Corporate Knights. This year, Atea earned the 49th position in the annual Global 100 Index, a new best for the company. Atea was also recognized as the most sustainable company globally within the IT Services Division for the second consecutive year.

Atea CEO Steinar Sønsteby welcomed both achievements: "Atea has made a strategic decision and social commitment to lead our industry toward better practices in sustainability. This is a core part of our company’s mission: ‘We build the future with IT’. We are honored to receive this recognition from Corporate Knights, but also want to thank our employees, customers, suppliers and partners for their efforts in supporting our company’s mission."

The prestigious Global 100 Index is an authoritative ranking of corporate sustainability performance that celebrates the sustainability efforts of the market leaders in different industries whose revenue surpasses $1B (USD). The ranking is based on an analysis of sustainability practices of 6,720 companies from around the world, conducted by Corporate Knights.

This recognition was earned entirely through performance. In recent years, Atea has reported substantial progress in its sustainability metrics and has set bold 2030 targets for its sustainability strategy for the remainder of the decade.
