Atea earns platinum-level sustainability award for fifth consecutive year
For the fifth consecutive year, Atea ASA has earned the highest (“platinum”) rating in environmental and social performance by EcoVadis, placing Atea among the top 1% of more than 130,000 companies evaluated.
Atea’s sustainability performance was evaluated by EcoVadis based on criteria relating to environment, ethics, sustainable procurement, as well as labor and human rights.
Atea CEO Steinar Sønsteby commented: “We’re proud to receive a platinum rating from EcoVadis for the fifth consecutive year, a reflection of the collaborative efforts across our organization as we continue to raise standards, integrate sustainability in our policies and processes, and drive positive change using information technology. Sustainability continues to be at the core of our company’s mission – to build the future with IT.”

Highlights:
- In January 2024, Atea reaffirmed its status as the world’s most sustainable IT Services company by securing a position in Corporate Knights' "Global 100" ranking for the third consecutive year, placing 41st overall.
- In February 2024, Atea was recognized for leadership in corporate transparency and performance on climate change by global environmental non-profit CDP, securing a place on its annual ‘A List’.
- In May 2024, The Financial Times, in collaboration with data powerhouse Statista, recognized Atea among European companies making significant strides in reducing their greenhouse gas emissions. This is the third time Atea has earned this prestigious recognition.
