The Financial Times and data powerhouse Statista have today ranked Atea among a select group of European companies that have made the greatest progress in curbing their greenhouse gas emissions.

Published in late May 2021, the first edition of the Financial Times Europe’s Climate Leaders is the outcome of intensive research in which emissions data from tens of thousands of European-based companies was scrutinized. The outcome: outstanding companies - including Atea - were recognized and commended for having successfully reduced their greenhouse gas emissions relative to revenue.

Atea CEO Steinar Sønsteby warmly greeted this prestigious ranking: “Building a better future with IT is a deeply held commitment here at Atea. Thus we’re honored by this joint recognition from the Financial Times and Statista on Atea’s ongoing efforts to address climate change. Our work to both reduce and avoid emissions extends beyond just our own operations. We’re helping our customers to do the same. And we will continue to accelerate those efforts in the coming years as part of our 2030 plan.”
