Atea recognized as one of Europe's Climate Leaders
The Financial Times and data powerhouse Statista today recognized Atea as a European leader in reducing greenhouse gas emissions associated with its operations.
The newest edition of Europe’s Climate Leaders, jointly published by the Times and Statista in April 2023, showcases intensive data on emissions-reduction intensity, reporting transparency and other reduction commitments. It now also includes new methodology reflecting every reviewed company’s transparency on Scope 3 emissions and other indicators of their commitment to reducing emissions.
Atea CEO Steinar Sønsteby welcomed this achievement: “We’re deeply committed to building a better future with IT. So we’re honored by this prestigious recognition of Atea’s continuing efforts to address climate change. Reducing and avoiding emissions goes beyond our own operations: we’re also helping our customers succeed there. All these efforts will keep accelerating as part of our 2030 Vision.”
