Atlas Copco acquires U.S. compressor distributor
Stockholm, Sweden, April 15, 2016: Atlas Copco’s U.S.-based Quincy Compressor LLC has acquired Scales Industrial Technologies Inc., which distributes, services and rents out industrial air compressors and ancillary systems.
Scales Industrial Technologies is based in Carle Place, New York, and operates in the Northeastern region of the U.S. The company has about 180 employees. The business is focused on distribution, service and rental of compressors and air treatment systems for use in such areas as manufacturing and construction. Scales Industrial Technologies also offers medical gas solutions for hospitals and laboratories.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The business becomes part of Quincy Compressor LLC.
