Atria is launching a planning project to centralize production from the Malmö plant in Sköllersta
Atria will launch an investment plan to reorganize production lines and increase productivity at Atria's Swedish production facilities. The investment is estimated at about EUR 30 million. The investment project examines in detail the restructuring of production lines, possible relocations and investment needs related to the construction of new production lines. The project investigates the possibilities of centralizing production from the Malmö plant to Sköllersta plant.
- We will start project planning on the basis of preliminary studies. When completed, the investment will give us a significant competitive advantage through more efficient and environmentally friendly production. In the first phase, we will investigate the regulatory approvals related to the investments and the possible personnel effects of the project, says Jarmo Lindholm, Executive Vice President of Atria Sweden.
After the planning phase, a decision is made on the implementation of the investment. If implemented, the project is expected to be fully completed during year 2023.
