Join Avid and distinguished composer Dr. Henry Panion on 21 November for an educational webinar to prepare the next generation of creative music professional for success
WHAT: Avid and The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) have partnered to host a webinar and provide music students with an advanced set of skills as part of their dual commitment to educating the innovative music professionals of tomorrow. Dr. Henry Panion, a distinguished composer, educator and professor at UAB, will provide aspiring musicians, producers and composers with an inside look at UAB's leading music technology program, and will explain how this programme equips students with the best tools in the evolving media landscape. These tools, including Avid audio solutions such as Pro Tools and Sibelius, are critical to preparing students for industry success.
WHO: Henry Panion, III, PhD, holds degrees in music education and music theory from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University and the Ohio State University, respectively. Dr. Panion is most known for his work as conductor and arranger for superstar Stevie Wonder. His own works are programmed throughout the United States by many of this country’s major orchestras, such as the Atlanta Symphony and Cincinnati Pops. As a producer, composer, arranger, and orchestrator, Dr. Panion’s work has won two Grammy Awards, two Dove Awards and a host of other national music awards and nominations.
