Avid Showcases New Solutions and Special Guests at Musikmesse Frankfurt
Industry-leading recording engineers Ralf Meyer, Yoad Nevo and Jacob Hellner to present on Avid main stage
Burlington, MA. 21 March, 2012 – Avid® will be demonstrating its latest audio recording and music creation tools for professional engineers, musicians, students and hobbyists at Musikmesse, from 21-24 March in Frankfurt (Hall 5.1, Stand A68). The provider of award-winning digital audio and video solutions will showcase innovative products that enable musicians and professionals in the audio production industry to take their sound to a new level. Avid will host guest appearances of leading music producers and engineers Ralf Mayer, Yoad Nevo and Jacob Hellner.
New and improved products and updates
For the first time, industry-leading Pro Tools® 10 software and the new Pro Tools|HDX system will be presented at Musikmesse. “Pro Tools 10 and Pro Tools|HDX represents a gigantic leap in sound and speed for audio professionals”, says Tony Cariddi, pro audio marketing manager at Avid. “In the short time since Pro Tools 10 and Pro Tools|HDX were released, customers have responded in overwhelming support saying that the new systems enabled them to sound better, faster. We’re delighted to showcase these solutions and engage with the community at Musikmesse.”
And demonstrating a commitment to porting the Avid RTAS and TDM plug-in portfolio to the new 64-bit ready AAX format, Avid announces the release of over 30 stock and premium Avid AAX plug-ins including the Classic Compressor and Moogerfooger bundles, available on March 23rd, 2012.
In addition, a set of recently launched products will be available for hands-on testing, demonstrating how Avid solutions offer high performance, great value, and tight integration for the best customer experience at every level. Among the products showcased are the Fast Track C-series, Keystation, Axiom keyboard controllers, Venom synthesizer, BX D2 reference monitors, Eleven Rack guitar processor/interface, and Sibelius 7 music notation software.

At Musikmesse, the Avid main stage will feature appearances by some of the best recording and mixing engineers in the industry:
− Ralf Meyer—One of Germany’s finest recording and mix engineers who shaped the sound of bands such as Clueso, Die Fantastischen Vier, Ingo Pohlmann, Cassandra Steen and the Turntablerockers.
− Yoad Nevo—An in-demand producer, mixer and mastering engineer whose career spans 25 years working the Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran and Girls Aloud as well as the Sugababes, Bryan Adams and many more.
− Jacob Hellner—Hailing from Sweden, he’s best known for his long-term relationship with German band Rammstein, and has worked with Apocalyptica, Clawfinger, Covenant, Pet Shop Boys and several soundtracks.
