Softube Announces Compatibility with Avid’s AAX Plug-In Format for Pro Tools 11
Avid’s Preeminent Community to Enjoy High-End Plug-ins with Pro Tools 11
WHAT: Softube has announced that they will deliver compatible 64-bit AAX (Avid Audio eXtension) DSP and AAX Native plug-ins in time for the forthcoming Avid Pro Tools 11 release. The latest version of Pro Tools, the most used and trusted DAW in the industry, provides exponentially improved AAX plug-in performance over prior versions, time-saving capabilities such as offline bounce to disk, as well as complete sound parity when sharing sessions between DSP-accelerated and native-based Pro Tools systems.
WHO: Softube, founded by Oscar Öberg in 2003, develops both hardware and software for the audio industry. A number of high-end computer recording plug-ins are available under the Softube brand and the company has done development for companies including Summit, Tube-Tech, Trident, Tonelux and others.
WHEN: Pro Tools 11 and Pro Tools HD 11 will be available in the online Avid Store and at Avid resellers worldwide in late June.
