Bactiguard Holding AB (publ) has appointed Cecilia Edström, today Senior Vice President Sales and New Business, as acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO). She succeeds Fredrik Järrsten, who will leave Bactiguard to assume a new CFO role in another company. Cecilia Edström will assume her new position on 15 September.

”Fredrik Järrsten has been Bactiguard’s CFO since the spring of 2014. Since then Bactiguard has been through a major transition, which started with the refinancing and IPO in June 2014. The financial infrastructure has been strengthened and the quality of the financial reporting improved, and in this process Fredrik has been instrumental. I would like to thank him for his valuable contribution to Bactiguard and wish him all the best in his new role”, says Christian Kinch, CEO.

“Cecilia Edström is an experienced executive and leader, with strong business focus and broad competence from some of Sweden’s major listed international companies. She has a solid financial background and her experience was a prerequisite for Bactiguard’s IPO. She is already part of Bactiguard’s executive management, with responsibility for new business development and international sales. I am pleased that we, with this solution, safeguard important competence and continuity in Bactiguard and pave the way for an optimal long term solution”, Christian Kinch continues.

Cecilia Edström was previously a member of Group Management at Scania and TeliaSonera. She has a Bachelor of Science from the Stockholm School of Economics and joined the corporate finance team at SEB thereafter. She joined Bactiguard in the spring of 2014, initially with responsibility for communication and IR and to prepare the company for the IPO. As acting CFO, Cecilia Edström will maintain responsibility for new business development and Fredrik Järrsten will remain in the company a short period of time to ensure a smooth transition.
