Baseload Capital Attends CERAWeek - The World's Premier Energy Event

Baseload Capital was a featured speaker at this year's CERAWeek – The World's Premier Energy Event. For forty years, CERAWeek has been providing an integrated framework for understanding what’s ahead for global energy markets, geopolitics, and technology.

Baseload's CEO, Alexander Helling and our CMO, Kristina Hagström-Ilievska were there to drive the conversation about how geothermal can transform the energy industry.

CERAWeek provides a rare opportunity for senior executives, government officials, thought leaders, academics, technology innovators and financial leaders to discuss the challenges, opportunities, and pace of change around energy, climate, technology, and innovation. For Baseload Capital and The Switch – Not Another Podcast, this was the perfect place to provide meaningful conversations within the industry.

It resulted in five recorded episodes of The Switch – Not Another Podcast, featuring companies like Baker Hughes, GreenFire Energy, OCGI, Chevron and Eavor.

“We were so excited to be a featured speaker during CERAWeek because it’s really a ‘who’s who’ of global energy markets,” says Alexander Helling, CEO of Baseload Capital. He added, “Since we were amongst so many industry leaders, we really wanted to capitalize by recording these episodes of The Switch while at CERAWeek.”

There were so many great conversations and takeaways that we decided to do a special CERAWeek summary. The special edition episodes of The Switch include:

  • A special episode highlighting the best of CERAWeek. This episode will include interviews and summaries from the conference, as well as snippets from the longer interviews; airing Tuesday, March 22, 2022.
  • A full episode with Ajit Menon and Taylor Mattie from Baker Hughes; airing Wednesday, March 23, 2022.
  • A full episode with Joseph Scherer from GreenFire Energy; airing Thursday, March 24, 2022.

“Through these interviews and our entire week at CERAWeek, it is clear that the global energy market is not black and white. It’s not clean energy versus ‘big oil and gas,’” says Kristina Hagström Ilievska. “There is a lot of grey area, and to move forward towards green energies we all need to cooperate on all levels. The Switch podcast is one way to find common ground between industries.”
