Klaus Andersen appointed as CEO of Basware

Basware’s Board of Directors has appointed Klaus Andersen as the CEO of Basware as of June 20, 2019. Andersen has been the interim CEO since March 2019.

Klaus Andersen was previously Chief Technology Officer and a member of the Executive Team at Basware, having joined the company in September 2018. Prior to joining Basware, Andersen worked at Itiviti, a world-leading capital markets technology provider, where he had been Executive Vice President, Global Engineering since 2015. Prior to Itiviti, Andersen served in various senior management roles in SimCorp, a leading provider of integrated investment management solutions.

"The Board conducted an extensive international search for the new CEO and Klaus stood out with his strong experience of more than 20 years in senior management roles in the software industry. During his time as interim CEO he has already shown great leadership and very good understanding of the company. He has been very well received by shareholders, customers and employees alike.
