Linax is Bitus' own brand for linseed oil impregnated wood that is part of our product area Wood Protection. Linax has good properties for durability in color, shape and is mainly used as a deck, panel for detached houses, roofs and outdoor furniture. Demand for Linax is increasing and Bitus will now invest 22 million SEK to increase production from the current approx. 5000 m3 / year to 15 000 m3 / year. A new facility will be built in connection with the current production unit in Nybro, outside Kalmar. It will be ready by the turn of the year 2021/2022.

– After the investment, the current capacity for Linax will triple. The investment is completely in line with our investment in the Wood Protection area and strengthens our market position, says Peter Nilsson, CEO Bergs.

–  We see a strong demand for wood protection products, not least Linax. After the investment, capacity increases and we also broaden the customer offering with e.g. new colors, says Roger Eckerstig, CEO Bitus AB.
