School catering company wins contracts worth over £2.2 m

School catering company Cucina Restaurants has just won 2 new school contracts: Sponne School in Towcester, Northants and Glyn School in Epsom, Surrey.

Sponne School in Brackley Rd, Towcester, Northants is a State secondary school with 1242 pupils aged 11-18. Cucina's 5-year contract (with an estimated turnover of £1,237, 809) commences on 1 September 2012.

Glyn School in Ewell, Epsom Surrey is a State secondary school for boys with 1680 pupils on the roll, including some girls in 6th form. Cucina's contract, due to run over 3 years, has an estimated turnover of £963,131.

Speaking about the new contract wins, Cucina Director Sam Davies said:  "We're delighted to be bringing our quality restaurant standard food to 2 new UK schools. Cucina is very focused in the contracts that it targets, and we're looking forward to our future partnerships with these schools, both of which share our high standards and aspirations."

The new contracts will bring the total number of Cucina school restaurants to 38.
