Cucina Restaurants wins 2 new contracts

New contracts for school caterer in Kent and Essex worth £1m over 5 years

School catering company Cucina Restaurants has been awarded 2 new contracts - Maltings Academy in Witham Essex and York Rd Junior School in Dartford Kent.

The Maltings Academy contract, serving 963 pupils, commences 29 October 2012, with turnover estimated at £600,000 for 3 years and £1m over 5 years.

The contract at York Road Junior School (337 pupils on roll) is an extension of Cucina's existing contract with the Leigh Academies Trust, which has had catering services provided by Cucina since September 2011.

The new contracts bring the number of Cucina's school restaurants to 40.
