Betsson opens up the shop again

Today at 15:00 Betsson will open the shop at Götgatan 37 in Stockholm - for the third time.

Since the Supreme Administrative Court, in September, refused leave to appeal and refrained from making a reference for a preliminary ruling from the European Court of Justice, the shop has been kept closed. Now, Betsson has decided to open the shop again but this time Betsson has been enforced to comply with the Gaming Board’s injunction from 2008 which means that none of Betsson’s symbols or logos will be available in the shop.

After rulings in September made by the European Court of Justice, Betsson believes there is a support for an opening of the shop.

“Since it is legal to offer gaming services to Betsson's customers, we will continue fighting for the Swedish consumer’s right to a free choice of games which should be given “said Pontus Lindwall, CEO Betsson.
