Bike World Oy ended the current financial year with a profit and increased turnover to EUR 28 million.

With the pandemic, leisure became even more important and private. Customers invested more money to their free time - allowing themselves freedom of movement and experiences.

The Bike & Boat World chain, as Finland's largest leisure machine retailer – offering clients a reliable and sustainable partnership in the leisure since 1991 – was one of the companies that benefitted from this new “leisure-movement”.

Mika Kouki will return to the management of Bike World Oy on October 4, 2021.

Mika has been with the 116-year-old Otto Brandt Group since 1991. Mika is a tough class veteran in business management and a great pilot for the future growth of Bike & Boat World. Recent years Mika has worked at XO Boats Oy, managing boat sales and exports.

“Mika Kouki's experience and diverse knowledge of the operating environment provide excellent starting points for managing Bike World's business and implementing new strategies. We believe that under his leadership Bike World will further grow and develop in the tough sales and service -business. ”

President and CEO Markku Hämäläinen

“It’s an honor to return to Bike World! It feels like returning home. Otto Brandt Group is a stable, successful and value-based family business. The Bike & Boat World chain is the largest factor in its industry and its growth in recent years has been convincing.

I believe that my own experiences will strengthen this positive development even further. I´m very excited to be back and looking forward with great enthusiasm”!
