BIMobject, provider of global cloud-based platforms and a marketplace for digital building and interior decoration products, announces that Stefan Hansson decided to move on at his own request, and that Alexander Dahlquist is appointed new CFO as of May 15. BIMobject also appoints Mario Ortega to a new executive management role as SVP AECO, effective immediately.

BIMobject is growing its cloud platform business on a global basis and is continuously investing in the organization and the management team to meet the needs of its future opportunity. We recently appointed Kim Mortensen as new CEO and he will start his position on June 1.

“I would like to thank Stefan for his role in the development and expansion of BIMobject over the last 4 years to its present position. Stefan is moving on to a new opportunity and agreed to stay on until his successor is appointed, and I wish him good luck in his future endeavours.” says Johan Svanström, Acting CEO.

Alexander Dahlquist has been appointed CFO to help take the company to the next level of global operations, product offerings and organisational scale.

“I am very happy to welcome Alexander to BIMobject. Alexander has extensive experience of international finance and business delivery in large and category leading companies. His strong business-controlling and process development acumen will be a great asset for our expanding company.”, says Johan Svanström, Acting CEO.

Alexander has spent many years at Saint-Gobain, one of the leading building wholesalers, and has direct experience of some of the major process flows of information and goods in the industry. BIMobject’s platform is obviously right at the technological and dynamic frontline of making such flows more effective for the entire value chain of the industry.

BIMobject has also decided to create a new SVP role and appoints Mario Ortega as Senior Vice President AECO. Mario, a former architect, joined BIMobject in 2014 and was previously Managing Director and Head of Sales of BIMobject’s subsidiaries in Spain and Latin America. As SVP AECO, Mario will work closely with the product and technology platform team to progress all user-side services. Examples include the private cloud solution Hercules, BIMSupply and digital building concepts. Mario will drive the commercial development plans for these products, a huge business opportunity for BIMObject as its content and data platform continues to increases in volume.

BIMobject is growing its user and manufacturer usage, and moving into a phase with further focus on scaling the product depth, user engagement and level of operations. We have high ambitions that require deep insights into the AECO market, as well as extensive finance and business controlling skills. It is with great pleasure that I welcome Alexander and Mario to the management team. Together with the newly appointed CEO Kim Mortensen and all the incredible staff at BIMobject, we are getting in a stronger position for the next few years. Our unique cloud platform and ecosystem services will only get stronger! ” says Johan Svanström, Acting CEO of BIMobject.
