BIMobject reaches 2 million registered users - doubling the user base in just 18 months

This Sunday, BIMobject passed 2 million registered users on the company's two websites, bimobject.com and polantis.com. This corresponds to the user base doubling since November 2018, when the company passed 1 million registered users. The user activity, measured by the number of downloaded objects, has also set new records this year.

The strong user growth is mainly driven by so-called organic growth, through users searching on Google and other search engines for BIM objects to use in the design of new buildings. BIMobject's large database of products enables the company's websites to rank strongly in search results.

BIMobject's 2 million users mainly consist of architects, engineers and university students. The user base is global, with the three largest countries being USA, Brazil and France. Spain, Italy, Mexico, India and Russia are other countries contributing to the large growth in the user base.

"Two million users reinforce our position as the world's leading platform to connect architects and engineers with manufacturers of building products worldwide", says Carl Silbersky, CEO of BIMobject. "As the tradeshows have been closed due to COVID-19, these audiences have instead turned to bimobject.com to find and compare products for the buildings they design. We are convinced they are here to stay."
