BIMobject strengthens the management team with tech entrepreneur Carl Silbersky
BIMobject, who offers a global cloud-based platform and market place for digital building, construction, and interior decoration products, appoints Carl Silbersky as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development.
Carl Silbersky has been appointed as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. He will join BIMobject and the management team in November. The appointment of Carl is in line with BIMobject’s growth strategy and increased focus on acquisitions. Carl is a successful serial entrepreneur and investor, having developed several start-ups through both mergers and acquisitions. For instance, as CEO of Polar Rose, he was a driving force in Apple’s acquisition of the company, a Swedish developer of facial recognition technology.
In addition, Carl was one of the founding investors of Mapillary, a company that develops digital and crowdsourced map and street-level images and data. In the future, it will be possible to use these datasets in self-driving vehicles. Investors also include Sequoia Capital, Niklas Zennström’s Atomico, BMW and Samsung Catalyst. Moreover, Carl has previously been involved in M&A consulting, fintech, and blockchain technology.
