Also, many people find it helpful to keep a log of the food that they eat.

Resistance weight training helps build lean muscle, burn fat throughout the day, and helps with bone density, while cardio burns calories and, most importantly, helps keep the heart healthy. So, much like many things in life, the key is finding a good balance between weights and cardio. An example of this would be to weight train Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while doing cardio on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
