Bong reaches settlement in German dispute

Bong reaches settlement in German dispute Bong Ljungdahl AB reached yesterday evening a final settlement in the several-year dispute with Michael Wolf-Bauwens. Since acquiring the Bauwens Group in 2000 Bong Ljungdahl has a debt to Bauwens of approximately EUR 10 million, which Bong has withheld and at the same time put forward a claim on Bauwens for a significantly higher amount. In June 2003 the parties reached a partial settlement whereby Bong was awarded EUR 2.3 million plus interest. Bong sells industrial property in England With the object of concentrating its business units in England, Bong is selling its industrial property in Milton Keynes. About MSEK 30 of the total sales price of about MSEK 37 has been received, while payment of the remaining amount is conditional on certain official approvals being obtained. BONG IMPLEMENTS COST-REDUCTION PROGRAMME The Bong Group is making a number of structural changes and cuts in its administrative personnel as part of its previously announced cost- reduction programme. In Germany, production at two of the manufacturing units is being concentrated at one. Bong strikes record deal The Bong Group has struck the largest single deal in the company's history. The deal - of almost 800 million envelopes - is with Lyreco Group, a French company that is one of Europe's largest office contract stationers. POSITIVE RESULT FOR BONG LJUNGDAHL'S CONVERTIBLE PROGRAMME The launch of a new convertible programme for employees of the Bong Ljungdahl Group has now been completed. "The programme has been well received," says Lennart Pihl, President and CEO, "which reflects strong confidence in the company among our personnel, especially those at managerial level." 77 per cent of the convertible loan stock was subscribed to, and 81 employees accepted the offer, with managerial personnel predominating. Bong Ljungdahl's rights issue was fully subscribed, and the proceeds received by the company amounted to some SKr 147 million net of issue costs. Some 99.2 per cent of the issue was taken up by shareholders on the basis of their rights.
