Drivers Direct gears up for growth with new Manchester operation

SPECIALIST recruitment company Drivers Direct is fuelling future growth with the launch of a new franchise operation in Manchester.

It has been launched as part of Drivers Direct’s continuing drive to provide the highest standard of temporary and permanent drivers of all classes to its clients, which include several household names.

Franchisee Paul Speed, who has more than 25 years’ experience in recruitment and transport, said: “I previously worked for Drivers Direct as an on-site consultant which gave me a good background and insight into the business.

“When the opportunity for a franchise in Greater Manchester came up, it made sense to take it.   There’s a lot of business in this region, and it’s an important franchise territory to operate in the growing Drivers Direct national network.  We are also not too far from the Head Office in Runcorn which will help to further strengthen the service we offer customers in the Northwest region.”

Drivers Direct was set up in 2002 and specialises in the recruitment and placement of temporary and permanent drivers of all classes. It employs 33 staff and has been listed as a Fast 50 company in the recruitment sector for two years running.

The company has also supported its expanding franchise arm with the development of remote transport management and training services, and by increasing the number of staff in the franchise support team.
