As previously communication, Brighter's subsidiary Nectarine Health has now submitted an application for corporate restructuring
Brighter AB (Publ) (“Brighter”) announces that its subsidiary Pink Nectarine Health AB (“Nectarine Health”) has today, as communicated in a press release from September 23 2022, submitted an application for corporate restructuring (Sw. “företagsrekonstruktion”) to the Stockholm District Court.
The decision follows from a liquidity shortfall in Nectarine Health and is deemed necessary to give Nectarine Health the time required to negotiate a longer-term financial solution and implement certain operational changes. It is believed that a corporate restructuring will both improve Nectarine Health’s business prospects and will also have a significant positive impact on Brighter's liquidity and thus enable a stronger focus on the core business.
During 2021, Nectarine Health has transitioned from a product development stage to its current phase involving parallel commercialization. This involves, among other things, end-user tests. and in 2022 Nectarine Health signed an agreement with JRW Services, an independent Right at Home franchisee in the United States. The company also has in March 2022 entered into an agreement with Dynamark Monitoring Inc. which provides call centers for monitoring of personal emergency services in the United States. This integration will allow users in the United States to connect to a call center in the event of an emergency alert.
“I see great opportunities for Nectarine Health. In the US, the company has received all regulatory approvals linked to electronic communications (FCC) for all three devices that make up Nectarine Health™ at Home. The system has also been registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The Nectarine Health™ at Home app, to be used by the end user and caregivers, family members and healthcare providers has been approved by both Apple and Google, which means it is available for download in both AppStore and PlayStore. I hope that Nectarine Health, through a corporate restructuring, will have the opportunity to build on that potential," says Christer Trägårdh, Chairman of the Board of Nectarine Health and Brighter AB
The district court will more or less immediately examine the application for company restructuring. Therefore, Nectarine Health expects a decision shortly.
