Brighter Commences Legal Action Against Unwrap Finance Nordic AB

Report this content

Brighter AB (publ) (“Brighter” or “the Company”) announced today that the Company has commenced legal action in Attunda District Court against Unwrap Finance Nordic AB ("Unwrap" or “the Counterparty”) to enforce the payment of debts owed to the Company.

The legal action relates to certain potential claims mentioned by the Company's auditor in the Annual Report 2020 relating to an investment made in certain debt certificates issued by Unwrap (see press release dated 31 May 2021, Brighter's Auditor Makes Certain Recommendations in the Audit Report for the Fiscal Year 2020).

As then, due to this ongoing dispute and the fact that amounts claimed may be partially set off against amounts that the Company may owe to the Counterparty (under terminated financing agreements), Brighter will not comment on the overall financial exposure of the Company.

The amount is however not regarded as material for the operations of the Group which continue without loss of momentum. As this is an ongoing legal dispute, the Company will not provide additional comments or speculate on potential outcomes of this or any related dispute.
