Brighter's ongoing rights issue does not require any prior approval

Following media's comments to Brighter's press release earlier this evening on December 11, 2019 in which the company comments on the Swedish Securities Council's statement on the ongoing rights issue without organized trading of subscription rights, the company want to make the following clarification:

The headlines of the comments are grossly misleading, inaccurate and can be interpreted as if the ongoing issue will need approval, which is not the case. The statement from the Swedish Securities Council states that, in light of the issue's construction, Brighter should have applied for prior approval before Brighter published the rights issue. "The petition in this case should have been filed earlier." AMN 2019.52

The Board of Brighter continues to consider that Brighter's shareholders benefit from the design of the Benefit Issue, which proceeds as planned with record date on December 12, 2019 and where the subscription period begins as planned on December 13, 2019. Brighter has had an ongoing dialogue with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority before the Council's review and further information on the council's statement can be read in the prospectus, which will be published on December 12, 2019.

This is a translation of the Swedish original, if any doubts, the Swedish version prevails.
