Brighter's subsidiary Camanio, and Siemens Smart Infrastructure, has initiated a strategic partnership. The collaboration includes both technology integration and commercial opportunities as well as joint development of new solutions.

“We are very excited and proud to present this collaboration with Siemens Smart Infrastructure. The collaboration gives us the opportunity to offer seniors, relatives, care organizations and municipalities a unique solution. By integrating real estate technology such as intelligent lighting with indoor positioning and care alarms, we can create new services for increased security and quality of life for our elderly,” says Catharina Borgenstierna, CEO of Camanio AB.

The foundation of the collaboration is an assessed widespread and neglected need for better housing for the elderly in Sweden. In the coming years, there are plans to build around 1,100 special needs homes. In connection with new construction and renovation of such homes, the parties see a potential in working together to offer real estate owners and managers smart and connected services and a future-proof infrastructure right from the start.

"Camanio has developed nicely over the past year and it is very gratifying to see the company take yet another exciting step forward on its commercial journey with this collaboration," says Christer Trägårdh, acting CEO of Brighter.
