Brighter's subsidiary Nectarine Health granted two U.S. patents
Brighter AB (publ) announced today that its subsidiary, Nectarine Health, has been granted two patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) relating to the AI-driven Nectarine Health™ at Home care system.
The first patent, Fall Detection System and Method (patent number US 11 069 213), relates to a fall detection method which is based on comparing measurements of ambient pressure. For example, when an individual wears the Nectarine Health™ at Home wristband, the technology will monitor for any deviations from the reference ambient pressure in the room. This patent has already been granted to Nectarine Health in Sweden.
The second patent, System and Method for Monitoring an Individual (patent number US 11 094 188), relates to an AI-based method that combines data on current and previous activity states and locations that determines whether the sensor data from the Nectarine Health wristband indicates a fall.
