IT entrepreneur and tech investor Emanuel Lipschütz and blockchain profile Tove Andersson, both of which have been proposed as new board members in Brighter for the Annual General Meeting in 2019, invest SEK 9.6 million through a directed share issue.

Tove Andersson invests SEK 70,000 which is equivalent to the first year's board remuneration in Brighter. Tove Andersson is a prominent blockchain profile, founder of KryptoGäris, Scandinavia's largest crypto and blockchain network for women, and currently CMO of the blockchain company Superblocks.

Emanuel Lipschütz invests SEK 9.5 million. Emanuel is the founder of the Swedish IT company Netsafe International. In 2015, the Danish company Conscia acquired a majority stake in Netsafe and since then Emanuel has continued to be involved in the company's advancement as a partner and CTO. The Conscia Group, of which Netsafe is part of, is now being acquired by a private equity firm and in connection with this, Emanuel makes a second exit in the company he once founded.

Emanuel has extensive experience in building successful IT companies and is an expert within network and security. In 2010, Emanuel was named Entrepreneur of the Year in Stockholm City and in 2018 he was nominated for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Sweden award. Since 2011, he has been investing in a number of companies within the field of digitalization.

”I want to use the knowledge that I have built up over the years as an entrepreneur to help other companies succeed. Therefore, I have engaged myself as an angel investor for several years. After a fantastic journey with Netsafe, which certainly is not over yet, I feel ready to take on new challenges and Brighter is an exciting company with great potential,” says Emanuel Lipschütz.

”Tove and Emanuel contribute very valuable knowledge and share Brighter's view on future data-driven healthcare. They understand digital entrepreneurship and the importance of innovation. Health and treatment data will be an increasingly central part of our own solutions as well as in healthcare in general, and from that perspective we see clear synergies in both Tove’s and Emanuel's backgrounds,” says Truls Sjöstedt, Brighter's CEO and founder.

The Board of Directors has decided to carry out the rights issue on the basis of the authorisation from the Annual General Meeting on May 16th 2018. The share price was set by VWAP in the Brighter share ("BRIG") during the period March 28 – April 8 2019 with an 8 % discount.

About Actiste.
Brighter's solution Actiste® handles most of the self-monitoring and treatment of insulin-treated diabetes in a single easy-to-use device. Measurement of glucose levels, insulin injections, automatic logging, and timing of all activities are performed from a single unit. Actiste is connected via an autonomous and secure mobile connection, and information can be automatically shared with selected recipients through The Benefit Loop®, Brighter's open cloud-based service where data is collected, processed and analyzed with patient consent.

Validated user-generated data, such as glucose levels or insulin doses, can be automatically transferred electronically to many different constituents. The patient selects when and how data is shared and who will have access to it. Through The Benefit Loop, different services can motivate patients with chronic illnesses to change their behavior, which can save lives, reduce relatives' concerns, and release enormous healthcare resources. https://actiste.com/
