Brownstein Group Named Brand Agency of Record for Beneficial Bank
Philadelphia firm to assume responsibility for bank’s brand strategy, advertising, digital, public relations and social media
PHILADELPHIA, December 4, 2012 – Brownstein Group (BG), a Center City-based brand communication firm, announced today that it has been named Brand Agency of Record for Beneficial Bank, the oldest and largest bank headquartered in Philadelphia. As such, Brownstein Group will partner with the bank’s internal Brand and Strategy team to execute integrated campaigns to improve brand awareness, customer acquisition and retention. Harmelin Media will join the team for media planning and buying.
The selection comes after a three-month competitive pitch process in which Beneficial evaluated potential partners according to overall agency capabilities and experience, creativity and innovation, financial stability and cost structure.
“Brownstein Group’s creative approach, coupled with its long history of excellence, made them the ideal partner for us,” said Joanne Ryder, Executive Vice President, Brand and Strategy, Beneficial Bank. “They demonstrated a strong understanding of our brand, our values and our commitment to educate customers to do the right thing financially.”
Beneficial Bank’s comprehensive media and marketing scope of work includes a variety of initiatives spanning across all of Brownstein Group’s core competencies in: brand strategy, advertising (print, out-of-home, broadcast, etc.), retail merchandising, marketing collateral, public relations, corporate communications, digital, mobile, email and social media. All work will build upon the bank’s existing vision, mission, and brand platform and will aim to further its position as an advocate for growth through financial education.
“Beneficial has taken the industry lead by educating its customers to be smarter and more sophisticated banking consumers,” said Marc Brownstein, President and CEO of Brownstein Group. “In our new role, Brownstein Group will help raise awareness of this unique approach to banking.
