Lloyds Banking Group scoops four Disability-smart Awards for work with disabled employees and customers

London, UK – Lloyds Banking Group has won four Disability-smart Awards for exemplary work in the areas of adjustments for disabled people, retention of disabled employees, and consideration of the needs of disabled people in product development and contact centres. Organised by Business Disability Forum (BDF), the Disability-smart Awards are given to companies that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to employing, working with and doing business with disabled people.

Lloyds Banking Group won the award categories of Adjustments, Staff Retention, Product Development and Contact Centre and were finalists in eleven other categories.

The Adjustments award is given to organisations that anticipate the needs of disabled employees and put robust processes in place to make any workplace adjustment that might be needed. Lloyds Banking Group has a world-class, mature adjustments process in place that is genuinely leading-edge.

The implementation of a professionally run and supported disabled employee network with over 2, 400 members saw the organisation also win the Staff Retention category.

Lloyds Banking Group also continues to be amongst the best in class when it comes to disability consideration in product development and contact centre service provision.

"We were already aware of the fantastic work Lloyds Banking Group is doing in its journey towards becoming disability smart as it achieved Gold status in its Disability Standard evaluation earlier in the year. It was great to see further evidence of this during the judging stage of the Awards scheme. The quality of the submissions and demonstrable commitment to their disabled employees and customers really impressed our judging panel."
