Software company from Silicon Valley employs in Gothenburg
The West Swedish mobility cluster attracts the California software company Apex-AI to establish in Gothenburg. The company supplies operating systems for the development of secure and scalable software for vehicles and systems for autonomous driving. The team in Gothenburg is expected to grow rapidly.
Apex-AI has chosen Sweden to get closer to existing and potential customers in northern Europe, and to gain better access to Swedish know-how and expertise.

In addition to the head office in Palo Alto, the company has chosen to establish in Munich, Stuttgart and Gothenburg, strategically selected locations where there are strong networks of software specialists. Specifically, this is where much of the development takes place within Autosar, the open and standardized software that car manufacturers, subcontractors and developers of control units for vehicles have agreed on for about 20 years.
“With their expertise, our new colleagues are expected to strengthen our customer-centric approach to developing safe and certified software for autonomous driving. We start with a small team in Gothenburg, but will soon expand significantly,” says Jan Becker.
The open collaborative climate that prevails between private and public sector, and academia, in the Gothenburg region is something that Apex-AI is attracted to and wants to contribute to. Business Region Göteborg supports Apex-AI during the establishment process, and shares the company's ambition to create sustainable jobs and growth in the region.
