The Patent and Market Court of Appeal issues judgement confirming C-RAD's entitlement to Beamocular's invention

The Patent and Market Court of Appeal at the Svea Court of Appeal partly confirms the judgment of the Patent and Market Court of 26 July 2019, which gave C-RAD the right to the invention described in the patent application entitled “Ionizing radiation detecting device”. The judgment from the Patent and Market Court of Appeal gives C-RAD the right to 50 percent of the invention as certain minor parts of the invention origins from Beomocular, a company in bankruptcy. C-RAD receives order for proton cancer treatment centers in the US

C-RAD announces today that C-RAD has been selected as the partner to implement surface tracking technology for three proton cancer treatment centers in the US. C-RAD offers a specific version of its Catalyst™ System for use in proton and particle therapy – Catalyst PT. It is based on the patented Catalyst technology and software as well as the hardware are tailored for the application in this environment. Shenzhen proton therapy treatment center selects C-RAD Catalyst™ system

C-RAD has now received the purchase order from the Belgium company Ion Beam Applications SA (IBA), regarding the supply of C-RAD’s surface tracking solution for Shenzhen proton therapy center. The purchase order includes multiple Catalyst™ systems and a Sentinel™ 4DCT system including a multiyear service agreement. In June 2020 C-RAD and IBA signed a letter of Intent for the supply of the Catalyst and Sentinel systems for this project. Since June C-RAD and IBA worked on the supplier evaluation process. The successful finalization was a pre-requisite for the purchase agreement.

Former employee has filed a lawsuit for compensation

A former employee has filed a lawsuit against C-RAD AB claiming compensation for an invention made during the employment. C-RAD strongly rejects the lawsuit and considers the compensation claim to be highly excessive, if at all legitimate.
