Taksi Helsinki’s EGM rejects Cabonline’s offer

The offer by the Cabonline Group to acquire the assets of Taksi Helsinki Oy has been rejected by Taxi Helsinki’s extraordinary general meeting of 24 October.

“It is disappointing that Taxi Helsinki’s EGM has decided to reject our bid for the company,” says Peter Viinapuu, CEO of Cabonline. “I am convinced that the acquisition would have placed Taksi Helsinki’s drivers in a stronger position in the new deregulated Finnish taxi market. For us, the decision means that we will continue to strengthen and develop our presence in Finland, primarily through our Kovanen and FixuTaxi brands.”
