California Hotel & Lodging Association Announces 2017 Board of Directors

Rancho Palos Verdes, California - The California Hotel & Lodging Association (CH&LA) elected its 2017 Board of Directors at its annual meeting this past Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes. The 2017 chair will be Elvin Lai of the Ocean Park Inn. In addition, the elected officers for the 2017 Board of Directors were announced as Scott VandenBerg, Hyatt Regency Sacramento (Vice Chair); Michael Pace, Clift Hotel (Secretary/Treasurer); and Terri Haack, Terranea Resort (Immediate Past Chair).  Other members of the Executive Committee include René Boskoff, Monterey Marriott (Chair of the Gov’t & Legal Relations) and Laurenne Douglas, Pacific Plaza Hotels (Chair of the Audit & Investment Committee).

Nine Board Members with expiring terms are renewing their Board positions. These members are Bhupen Amin, Lotus Hotels; Jon Handlery, CHA, Handlery Hotels; Laurenne Douglas, Pacific Plaza Hotels; Paul Gibbs, CHA, Crowne Plaza LAX; Hee Won Lim, Pacific Palms Resort; Robert L. Mayer, Jr., The Mayer Corporation; Michael Pace, The Clift Hotel; Pragna Patel-Mueller, Samata Management; John Spear, Hotel Drisco.

There are six incoming Board of Directors – James Lim, Omni San Francisco, Javier Cano, JW Marriott, LA Live, Vipul Dayal, VNR Management, Russ Cox, Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Stephanie McCaffrey, McCaffrey House, Michael Collins, University of San Francisco.
