Sacramento, CA and Weymouth, MA – Sept. 15, 2017 - The California Hotel & Lodging Association (CH&LA) and ELERTS, a leading provider of See Something Say Something mobile safety apps, announce their partnership to provide CH&LA members with a state-of-the-art incident reporting & alerting solution that will allow hotel security directors and staff to report safety and security issues within seconds. The partnership complements a focus by the Association to help better prepare the hotel and lodging industry to address emergency security situations that may arise within a property.

The strategic partnership will allow CH&LA members to download the ELERTS See Say app onto their smartphones and will allow hoteliers to open a direct line of communication to provide real-time security alerts and swiftly resolve security incidents. The app, as a member benefit to CH&LA members, will allow members to receive and report security alerts and enables real-time two -way communications to instantly report safety and security concerns to staff and police.

“As the largest state lodging association, we are excited to have a partnership with ELERTS to promote safety and security in hotels,” said Lynn Mohrfeld, President & CEO for CH&LA. “The lodging industry here in California is always seeking to be on the cutting edge of safety and security practices and partnering with ELERTS will further assist our state’s lodging properties in improving their security for their guests.”

ELERTS mobile alert system empowers people to report safety and security concerns in less than 20 seconds. Community-sourced reporting demonstrably improves response and incident outcomes during everyday security situations.

“ELERTS is proud to partner with CH&LA to allow them to assist their members in improving their safety and security,” stated Chris Russo, Founder and Executive Vice President for ELERTS. “BOLO (Be On the Look Out) reports can be shared immediately, giving CH&LA members early warning when an incident has occurred at another property. Early warning can help mitigate threats, especially in this day and age of synchronized attacks. We look forward to helping improve the security of California’s hotels.”
