Hotel Association of Los Angeles Announces New Board of Directors
Los Angeles, Calif. – Sept. 27, 2018 – The Hotel Association of Los Angeles (HALA) introduced its officers and several new directors to its members and the Los Angeles hotel industry during the HALA lunch this Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel.
Johnathan Litvack, General Manager of the Sheraton Grand Los Angeles Downtown, is stepping in as the new Chair, with Ken Pilgrim, Managing Director of The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites being past chair. Litvack is supported by the Vice Chair, Steve Choe, General Manager of the Western Inn. Additional officers include John Marko, General Manager of the Kawada Hotel, Treasurer and Grant Coonley, General Manager of the Hilton Los Angeles Airport, acting as Secretary. Lynn Mohrfeld, President & CEO of the California Hotel & Lodging Association, is the association’s Executive Director.
“We made some positive changes to HALA today that further enhance and celebrate the diversity of our Board, giving HALA a broader perspective as we continue to advocate for the Los Angeles lodging industry,” said Johnathan Litvack, General Manager of the Sheraton Grand Los Angeles and Chair of HALA’s Board of Directors.
New additions to the Board include Gino Caliendo (General Manager, Hyatt Regency LAX), Peter Kolla (General Manager, Mayfair Hotel), Marisa Rokovitz (Director, Hotel/Leisure Sales and Marketing, Enterprise Rent-A-Car), Lara Shortz (Partner, Michelman Robinson, LLP) and Mark Sokol (Owner, Hotel Erwin). Sanjay Ahuja (Senior Business Development Director, Freeman Company), who previously served on the Board, has resigned from his position.
