Jennifer Flohr Officially Begins Term as Meeting Professionals International Chapter President
California Hotel & Lodging Association’s Senior Vice President Ascends to Leadership Role for Sacramento/Sierra Nevada Chapter
Sacramento, Calif. -- Jennifer Flohr, CMP, CAE of the California Hotel & Lodging Association (CH&LA) has officially began her term on July 1stafter being sworn in at the Sacramento/Sierra Nevada Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPISSN) Annual Gala to become the 2014-15 chapter president. The gala was attended by close to 200 industry professionals and was graciously hosted by the Lions Gate Hotel.
Flohr has been participating the MPISSN Chapter in a leadership role for three years now, having facilitating educational programming and moving to president elect this past year. The MPISSN Chapter was recently ranked sixth globally in member satisfaction in an annual survey contacted by MPI Headquarters, with Ms. Flohr being recognized with the MPISSN Chapter Leader of the Year Award in 2012.
Ms. Flohr is currently the Senior Vice President for the California Hotel & Lodging Association, responsible for all aspects of meeting and conference planning as well as membership growth and retention, among other duties. Ms. Flohr is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), the highest accreditation in the association field, as well as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). Ms. Flohr holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Chico State in Journalism and Public Relations.
