Hotel Associations Applaud Vote for Rentals in Primary Residences Only

SACRAMENTO, CA. – Nov. 6, 2018 – The California Hotel & Lodging Association and the Hotel Association of Los Angeles issued the following statement about the Los Angeles Planning and Land Use Management Committee’s vote recommending short-term rentals only for units with primary residents while rejecting an onerous and costly new proposal:

“Today’s PLUM committee vote endorsing short-term rentals only for units with primary residents is the transparent, safe and responsible course for Los Angeles,’’ said Heather Rozman, Executive Director of the Hotel Association of Los Angeles. “We encourage the city council to support the committee’s recommendation and endorse an ordinance that protects housing for Angelinos and keeps Los Angeles neighborhoods safe.”
