Careium ranked as number one on substantial UK framework
Careium has been awarded a significant contract for the supply of telecare equipment as part of a re-tendered framework agreement. It covers the requirements of Leeds City Council and Kirklees Council, Wakefield Metropolitan District Council, East Riding of Yorkshire Council, City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council and Middlesborough Council.
The framework will provide telecare equipment that will promote and maintain the independence and well-being of residents who require such support. The tender included a rigorous assessment of products, including a desktop evaluation and then products were invited for evaluation, and/or sampling. As a result, Careium was ranked number one in the main categories of digital alarms and key associated peripherals, giving Careium the right to deliver first.
The contract will run for 24 months and has an estimated total annual value of 1.6 million GBP (~21 mSEK*), with a total estimated contract value of 3.2 million GBP (~42 mSEK*). The contract is open for other local authorities to join the agreement, potentially extending its scope.
“It is an honour to continue our successful partnership with Leeds City Council. It is driven by a shared passion for delivering high-quality technology-enabled care services, providing many individuals the opportunity to live rich, safe, and active lives. I'm particularly grateful to our UK colleagues for their dedication and hard work in making us the supplier of choice.
