Catena is investing SEK 90 million in an extension for tenant ICA.

14 February 2022, 1.30 p.m.

The extension of approximately 3,570 m2 will be made to the existing Planeraren 2 property in Borlänge, one of several logistics facilities for food distribution leased to ICA by Catena. The investment encompasses both an extension with additional storage, as well as adaptations to the existing building, including expansion of cold areas. The project will enable ICA to increase its capacity in central Sweden.

In connection with the project, Catena is also signing a new ten-year lease with ICA.

“ICA has long been one of Catena’s larger tenants and maintains operations at our logistics facilities in several locations. We are very happy that this partnership is now being expanded further,” says Catena’s Regional Manager Tobias Karlsson.

The extension is scheduled for completion during the first quarter of 2023 and ICA plans to put it into operation by the end of 2023.
