A logistics facility of slightly more than 27,400 m2 is being constructed at Foodhill’s food centre in Bjuv – a site at which Findus previously maintained production facilities. Companies including Sydgrönt, Lantmännen, Nowaste, Glimåkra Åkeri, Nutifood and Foodhills maintain operations at the site.

Foodhills Fastigheter’s investment in the new facility amounts to SEK 334 million. The property will be certified in accordance with Miljöbyggnad Silver and a photovoltaic cell facility is being installed on the roof.

A ten-year lease has been signed with HelloFresh, a world leading meal kit company, which offers customers home delivery of high quality food and recipes for different meal occations. HelloFresh already leases other premises at the site.

“HelloFresh is further developing the meal kit concept with an offering that helps reduce food waste. We are very pleased that HelloFresh has chosen Bjuv as the continued base for its expansion in the Swedish and Danish markets,” says Mikael Halling, CEO of Foodhills Fastigheter.

HelloFresh plans to move into the new facility in the autumn of 2022.
