The most equal Swedish consulting companies 2021
For the seventh year in a row, Cinode has read last year's annual reports to look at the outcome and the overall distribution of genders in the workforce as well as the boards. Today, more consulting companies have a board where women are in the majority, and four out of ten consulting companies have at least 40 percent women in the boardroom.
The title "Equal consulting company" is awarded this year to ten consulting companies.
The proportion of women in consulting companies remains at an average of 33 percent. These figures resembles those of IT & Telecom companies; 29 percent (2019) and 32 percent (2019) for the technology consulting companies according to the Innovation Companies.
- Gender equality and attracting more women are at the top of a lot of the consulting companies agendas. But despite several good initiatives, less than every third employee is a woman, says Mattias Loxi, co-founder of Cinode, the leading platform in Skills Management.
Influence, Ekan Management, PlantVision, Trivector, Frontit, BTS Group, ARC, Technogarden, Tyréns and Norconsult are awarded the "Equal Consulting Company" award. They have between 40 and 60 percent women in the workforce.
Several large consulting companies with a majority of women on the board
There have also been marginal changes in the boardroom this year. On an average, 31 percent of women sit on the board of directors. According to last years annual reports, ten consulting companies have an equally gender distributed board consisting of at least 50% women.
- We are happy to see that it is no longer uncommon to see a majority of the chairmen being women. This year, five out of 60 companies have a board with more women than men. Three years ago there was only one. In addition, we see that larger companies such as Netlight, Tyréns, Sweco, Softronic and B3 Consulting are following this trend, says Mattias, who also runs Konsultpodden and Sweden's largest consulting blog and newsletter about the consulting industry.
Knowit, Knightec, Cybercom, Complyit and Capacent all have equally distributed boards.
